In the early 80s I released 2 cassettes on Tim Van den Berg's 2-Tapes Label. This compiles those tracks.

The 1st release was called "Aussies Are Better Than Gerries At This Sort Of Thing". The title poked fun at the prominence of German electronic artists of the time. Completely tongue in cheek of course. Most of this was recorded in the 12 track studio at Alexander Mackie CAE using their Arp 2600 but with input from various friends at the time. These are tracks 1-11 and, generally, I think they sound OK these days.

The 2nd release was called "I, Turnbull" in obvious reference to Asimov. These were all recorded in the lounge room of 432 Bourke Street Surry Hills where I lived for some years. All dubbed down on cassette so the quality is pretty poor and the tracks are generally quite dull - just me making noises mostly. So don't get yer hopes up.

One of my absolute favorite artist discoveries over the last few years, Gibson's work seems at least 20+ years ahead of its time. "I Needle The Oven" is what grabbed me when I first discovered him but as I dive deeper, I find more to love. Fantastic compilation for those just discovering him, or die-hard converts like myself. binocular rivalry
